BAUMA 2022

This year again, traditionally for the 33rd time, Bauma is taking place. It is an international trade fair organized every three years in the heart of Bavaria – in Munich. Bauma is the world’s largest trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles, and equipment.

Every year, the fair is becoming more and more popular, and the number of new exhibitors is also increasing. The previous 32nd edition of the fair in 2019, according to organizers, broke all previous records. Over 3,500 exhibitors from 62 countries exhibited in an area of 614,000 m2 of exhibition space at the Messe München trade fair center. Visitors to Bauma came from as many as 217 countries, totaling nearly 630,000 attendees.

This year’s Bauma themes, one could say, are somewhat futuristic. Visitors will gain insight into the digitization of the construction and building industry, and they will also be able to explore hybrid vehicles, electric excavators, and similar equipment designed to reduce exhaust emissions on construction sites. Building materials and construction methods are also turning towards the future – natural insulation materials, 3D-printed concrete, and many other interesting innovations.

For all robotics enthusiasts, there will be autonomous vehicles and robots such as smart excavators or cranes. In the field of mining, new mining technologies and trends will be presented to visitors.
